MEMBER ACCOUNTS
You used a username and password to access the members-only site. Please do not share your username and/or password with other parties. You are responsible for all communications that occur under your username and password. Sharing your username and password with other parties not only dilutes your membership benefits, it also allows other people to change your theatre resume and headshot. You should notify Theatre Bay Area of any unauthorized use of your username and password. Theatre Bay Area is not responsible for any loss or damages due to a failure to comply with these terms.
SECURITY POLICY
All Membership and Ticketing transactions are encrypted and processed through secured pages on the web site using 128-bit SSL encryption.
PAYMENT POLICY
Theatre Bay Area accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for all purchases.
PRIVACY
The following is Theatre Bay Area's privacy notice. By visiting Theatre Bay Area.org, you are aware of and accept the following practices.
What Personal Information About Customers/Members Does Theatre Bay Area Gather? Information you give us, which includes information from our membership form, preferences form and ticket order form. We also compare our membership list to other membership lists from similar organizations to avoid sending unnecessary snail mail to people. Individual members have the option to post resumes to our site. While Theatre Bay Area doesn't collect the info from the resumes for our own databases, we may use the information to contact that member. Likewise, any information that a member provides on their resume is available to anyone who visits Theatre Bay Area's site. If you purchase tickets or a membership from our site, your credit card number is automatically sent to our databases or in-house ticketing system. No credit card information is kept on the website or web pages used by TIX Bay Area or Theatre Bay Area.
Does Theatre Bay Area.org Use Cookies?
When Theatre Bay Area members login to the members-only side of the site, they have the option to be "remembered" so they don't have to login from the same machine every time. Cookies are then transferred to that machine's hard drive. To login to the members-only site, members have to have first-party cookies enabled on their machine.
Does Theatre Bay Area Share Information It Receives?
Individual member mailing addresses are available for sale to Theatre Bay Area company members only. Theatre Bay Area also participates in the Bay Area Big List, a cooperative database of like-minded arts organizations that pool contact and attendance information to better serve the Bay Area arts community. Members can opt out of being shared by sending an e-mail to members@theatrebayarea.org. The exception is our Theatre Directory: By filling out the Theatre Directory form, company members are allowing Theatre Bay Area to publish their contact information in the Theatre Directory, which is available for sale in hard copy format or for free on our site to anyone. Members who sign up for and utilize our discussion lists may have their e-mail address viewable to other recipients of that particular list.
What About Third Parties?
Theatre Bay Area contracts with Patron Mail for our announcements lists (Weekly Update for members and What's Up Weekly for TIX patrons). Recipients' e-mails addresses are located in databases on Patron Mail's site, but are not accessible to anyone but Theatre Bay Area staff. Theatre Bay Area also contracts with a mailing house to distribute Theatre Bay Area magazine. We send mailing labels to the mailing house, but the mailing house does not copy or save info from those labels. The Bay Area Big List is managed by Enertex Marketing, which guards the data and very strictly polices access to it.
How Secure Is My Information?
All Membership and Ticketing transactions are encrypted and processed through secured pages on the web site using 128-bit SSL encryption.
How Can I Opt-Out?
If you have any concerns about or want to opt-out of any of the above, e-mail members@theatrebayarea.org and we will help you out.
REFUND POLICY
Theatre Bay Area will refund membership monies only under extreme circumstances. If a refund is granted, the membership is prorated and a $5 processing fee is deducted from the refund. Questions about memberships processed through our site? Please call (415) 430-1140 or email members@theatrebayarea.org.
